This year was the 11th Anniversary of this great even. It was held in Net Watch Cullen Park on 21th August. The annual Hurling for Cancer Research fundraiser is in aid of the Irish Cancer Society with proceeds going directly to Cancer Research. A galaxy of sports stars including Irelands top Hurling and Camogie players along with racing greats. It will be the battle of Jim Bolger’s Stars V’s Davy Russell’s Best.
Jim Bolger’s Stars will wear the maroon and yellow and was managed by Brian Cody and Liam Cahill and their side was made up of TJ Reid, Jackie Tyrell, Charlie Carter, Eddie Brennan, Stephen Hunt, Richie Hogan, Paul Murphy, Damien Fitzhenry, Larry O Gorman, Martin Storey, Tommy Walsh, Padraig Walsh, JJ Delaney, Ollie Canning, Grace Walsh, Miriam Walsh, Lee Chin, Walter Walsh, Conor Fogarty, Jack Sheridan but to name a few.
This Jersey was designed by Cúl Sliotars in partnership with Hurling for Cancer Research. €5 from each Jersey sold is donated directly to Hurling for Cancer Research.
