This was the year of the Millennium and this jersey was worn by the Dublin footballers in this year. Dublin got to the final in 1988 National Football League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Royal Liver National Football League, this was the 57th staging of the National Football League (NFL).

Meath won the league, beating Dublin in a replayed final. The match was played on the 22nd May 1988. The captain of the Dublin team was Barney Rock and the Dublin manager was Gerry McCaul.

In Championship Meath also beat Dublin in the Leinster Final by 2-5 to 9 points in Croke Park on the 31st July and push on to win the All Ireland this year.

The number on the back of this Jersey is No. 10 which was worn by Barney Rock.
